Is it the same for you?

I felt a flutter of my chest
When you walked through the door
A rush of excitement going through my bones
What happened to us?
How did we get here?
Was the moments we touched a moment of lust?
Did you have the same crazy dreams I had?
Did you think the same thoughts I had when I woke in the morning
Did you ever wonder what I was doing when I was away from you?
Did you wonder about the choice we made to divide?
Someday I will find the one who will be the one
As will you, we will realize the importance of setting goals
We will wonder what happened to the past
and live each day to the fullest
knowing a little more of what we want to accomplish
in our next stage in our life
I regret that the little moments that we had will never be more
I regret that I will never get to know you better
I hope you will feel the same
This chapter has come to an end
Was the plot the same for you
Did you experience the same climax I did?
You walk the same way out the door
as you did coming in
I feel myself hold my breath
counting in my head silently
One, two, three seconds
and all the tension is gone
as you walk swiftly away.
But I will see you again as friends and not more.
Can you say the same?
Will you feel the same?
Will it hurt when I find someone new?
Thank you so much for the experience
I had fun and at the same Tim
You taught me a lesson
I learned something new
Is it the same for you?
