It seems as if the

It seems as if the older you are, the more respect you deserve by default

Like being younger than someone is your fault

I'd love to see the day when we can all truly learn from others and realize

That the older we are doesn't necessarily mean we have a bigger mind size

Than those who are younger because they too could know things you may not

Parents believe a lot of times that it's talking back, but we're just showing what we got

Because there's nothing worse than being told you don't listen

And then that person doesn't seem to either

All because we don't know anything

As if they have a file on record of the knowledge in my brain

Trying to maintain a level head about these situations, working on a better me

It's starting to turn into beating a dead horse with a bat and my arms are getting tired

At times I just wanna give up and flee

But I can't because I have way too much fire

Maybe one day they'll listen
