It Started with a Thought
A thought
It started with a thought
A world of perfect people, he thought
Led by me
He took over
The Nazi Party he took over
For the Jews it will be over
They will see
The ghetto
They were taken into the ghetto
Swallowed and bound to the ghetto
No joy, no glee
A new plan
The Nazis have a new plan
Blood and crying fill this plan
No more will they be
Camps
There are now concentration camps
The evidence is hidden in these camps
With no way to flee
Death
The Nazis caused death
They inflicted sickness, starvation, and death
Death by any degree
There’s crying
Everywhere, everyone is crying
Parents, are crying, children are crying, the world is crying
At the sight of all this human debris
Closer
The Allies are getting closer
Is the end getting closer
No one can guarantee
Stop
The Allies made the Nazis stop
And though the tears will never stop
The prisoners are finally free
