It takes a Village

I took a peak over the edge Curious and free Only to see people scrambling around And i thought to myself will that soon be me? I recall my mothers words that one day I'll have to leave the nest That my wings will get strong enough to take flight into the world and to always do my best Colonial La' Jaie molded me in JROTC and taught me disciplinary skills Each practice like a siren he would yell You've got what it takes just hold strong to your will And my big sister she was always there to give me a hard time She told me after graduation It was because she always knew id do just fine These people molded me to be the young man i am today I'm forever grateful that they were the guiding light that lead the way
