It used to be you.
I used to dream of a place where it's was so simply you and me
what I can't live without?
I was so very young so I spat out your name.
But then you left me and that's when my answer to what I couldn't live without became "nothing but a map."
Because when you left it rained
Gosh it didn't even rain it poured
It poured in my room
it poured in my closet
it poured in the driveway
it poured in the store
it poured right down my cheeks and out of my eyes until the edge of my eyes burned of regret
I woke up every afternoon with wet stones laying on my chest and the memory of you on my mind
it poured and poured until I was soaked in tears and thats when i realized it was my fault you left
It was my fault I couldn't make you stay because I never asked you to
It's my fault you left but not because you didn't stay but because I was expecting you to and when you didn't it didn't even rain
it poured...
And my favorite type of stranded island is a dry one.
