It was time

Dear Jesus I always saw myself with you Never leaving your side We planned to get married Planing every step of the way I ended up doing all the planning The budgeting I was left to do everything alone Never wanting to put in the effort Went wedding dress shopping You came along Was just you and me Our families had no idea I felt bad they weren't involved Many years has passed And now I'm going to marry a man Who doesn't keep me a secret Who helps me every step of the way It was time to let go Today you crossed my mind As I plan this wedding He wants to be part of everything Always reminds me he won't leave Says it's we As in us As in he will help every step Side by side Thank you Jesus For making me understand what I always wanted And how what I wanted isn't just a dream

My work goes with the beat of how I feel to when I remember a memory I want to talk about it to random thoughts
