It Wasn't The End

I used to think it was the end,

That I was all alone

Without even a friend.

I wondered how some people sat on a throne,

While I went about

With my head down,

Wanting to shout

With nothing to show but a frown.

I used to think it was the end,

Until one day,

When I met my best friend,

The skys would no longer be grey.

She gave me a whole new look on life,

I got a feeling I'd never felt,

I wasn't being stabbed with a knife,

The love made me melt.

I used to think it was the end,

When instead it was the start.

I finally could extend,

And for once I knew I had a heart.

I was reborn,

This was my second chance,

I would no longer be torn

I was finally ready to dance.

I used to think it was the end.
