It Wasn't Just Him

I feel like I’m about to burst! I can’t keep carrying around this anger. Each day it builds and bubbles. I am afraid if I hold it in much longer I’ll explode and spew out my thoughts like an erupting volcano. It wasn’t just him. It was the rest of us too. You’ve never been my favorite But I was expected to look up to you. And now I force myself to look down Because I can’t stand the sight of you. You preach about how family is second to none. Yet you risked losing us all Just for a little fun. I hope they were worth it. I hope at least one was for love. I hope the satisfaction of lust Was worth the loss of a child’s love. What you don’t seem to realize is The day you cheated on him. You cheated on me too.

I was feeling overwhelmed about my step-mom cheating on my dad. This seemed to help.
