It Will Be Worth It

Oh love of mine,

It will be worth it, let me tell you.

When the grass is green and the summer sun shines,

And the Colorado sky turns a bright blue,

You’ll be home, back in my arms.

It will be worth it, let me tell you.

Right now, it is dark and dreary,

And the end seems distant on the bleak horizon,

But in time you will see clearly.

In time, this desolation will lighten,

And you’ll be home, snuggled to me close.

It will be worth it, let me tell you.

The work that we put in now,

The schooling, studying, and mundane tasks,

Leaves an unspoken vow.

In time we will grow and surpass,

And you’ll be home, laughing by my side.

It will be worth it, let me tell you.
