It Will Never Be

You scream for me
Telling yourself lies
Telling me that you love me
I know you do

You beg for me
It can never be
I may love you
But the world is against us

My parents
My friends
They all hate you
It will never work

You say you love me
I know you do
But we are just too different
We are not meant to be

Our ideas of love differ
You focus on the physical
I focus on the emotional
We just can't be

Can't you see?
It didn't work those nine months
It wouldn't work now
I know you love me
But it will never be
