It will Never be a Happy Ending

What if I told you I loved you? Would you go The other way? Admit my secrets, All to you. Fear of rejection, Especially from you. You are strong Yet so caring. Even though you have done wrong You are perfect to me. Love me gently, Love me slowly. Love me your way Through your own doing. It was all me From the beginning. But I want you to show me That it is not. Tell me you want me, Only me. Tell me you will have me And no one else. I will change for no one But myself. But I will change for you Because you are a part of me. I will do anything You tell me to do, Even though I know You never will. I need to read your mind Since you can read me. You are gone. You know everything. I am here, And I know nothing. I chose you Out of all the rest. I told you And was surprised. You accepted my choice And went along with me. I started it And you lead me. One night. One moment. One place, Another time. It will never happen; It will never be a happy ending.
