Is it worth all of this?
Is putting my life on the line worth all of this?
Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness the constitution promises us this
Listening to the slander and lies from politics
Spending thousands on campaigns that cause nothing but petty hissy fits
Salute and defend that's what I was born to do but when the time comes to fight a war I didn't choose will we win or lose?
The bombs at Boston and the threat of nuclear war
It seems like terrorists are knocking on my front door
Sir yes sir that's what I'm told to say but does anyone question the price we are all willing to pay?
The missing in action and the prisoners of war is anyone counting their absence or are we done keeping score?
Many say they stand for the red white and blue but will you still be standing when a bullets flying at you?
Is it worth a mother's tears or a newborns cry seeing their sons and daughters fathers and mothers buried with pride?
We're making budget cuts and trying to make progress at the cost of those who've tried to make this country honest.
The veterans of the past and the heroes that will follow will they die in vain, will we wallow in sorrow?
Freedom does not come freely as we can all clearly see from the rows of white head stones at Arlington cemetery
With liberty and justice for all we do pledge do we take for granted the words we have just said?
Our government needs to start making a priority list because many of us are wondering is it worth all of this?
