Is it worth it?

Better get to class, better get to class fast, wouldn't wanna get another tardy pass

Passin' up on the education, to hang with your best friend procrastination

But he'll only stab you in the back, when you check and your grades begin to lack, cause you slacked off

Is it worth it?

Should I really put the work in?

An A or a D is that all I'll ever be?

It's sad but it's true, when a college looks, it don't see you- it sees what you do

So you put in the hours, read another book, turn the music up louder

Yeah you study, and it sucks, cause you miss your old buddy. The one who let you say "Later!" till you dug yourself into a crater

The homework piling up, till you find yourself stuck

And you cringe at the word deadlines, cause all you got are dead eyes, from staring at the page

Studying just so you can work till old age

But there's some satisfaction, in ending up passing

Knowing you can hit the mark, everyone saying you'll go far

So don't let your grades define you, but let that A remind you, how good it feels to work hard.
