Is it wrong to stare?

Is it wrong to stare?

I’m so accustomed to it that I almost forgot to nod away when you turn.

My friends are the same way, the difference being I know what I am doing…

I’m staring at you… For who you are, for every little thing you do

Because I don’t want to miss a thing.

I’ve seen the way you run, I’ve grown up watching you. Your without a care in the world, your stride smooth and bounding

With grace, you leap into the air, chasing those things called ambitions

they stare, and you don’t bat an eye

Because you know they like what they see, and you like that about yourself, don’t you?

There’s nothing wrong with being liked the way you are, and I’m sure you know that

But I stare because I want to be there for when you realize how alone you are...

I want to catch you when you fall

I’m just afraid of how hard you’ll hit the ground

I remember now how selfish you can be sometimes

You just never learned how to give

It’s just not in your nature

And that’s perfectly OK…

Because we’re much closer to one another than everyone thinks

You’ve shown me that much.

that’s all I could ask for...

Is it rude to stare? I don't think so...

Not with you.

because this way, I catch you staring back at me.
