It'll Be Okay.

Before anyone reads my poem, please note that I am not in anyways a good artist/writer. I wrote from the heart, about my own situations. It may be totally bad and might not be the best way to represent myself. However, I’m taking a chance on myself and hoping that somehow, someone can read this and understand from my viewpoint of entering a healthy relationship and not really understanding how I got so lucky. Thank you to anyone who reads my poem. I know it’s not great but I hope you appreciate it.

When my days are long and hard

And I cry and curl up in a ball

You’re always there

You tell me it’ll be okay

You give me hope

You help me move forward

And when I do something wrong

Like drop my drink or stall your car

You laugh

And you tell me it’ll be okay

When my days are rough and paranoid filled

And I let my thoughts go dark

You’re always there

You tell me I’ll be okay

You give me strength

You help me get out of my funk

And when I thought I’d never be able to trust again

After all that’s happened

You give me a reason

And you tell me we’ll be okay

When I’m scared, when I’m happy, when I’m rageful

And I want to let someone know

You’re always there

You tell me everything’s okay

You give me compassion

You helped me learn to trust

And when I go about my now normal days

All I can think of is how happy I’ve become

You helped me find myself

And you tell me it’s okay to not be okay
