It's All Lipsmack

Man is tethered toward togetherness

For the Creator Himself declared,

"It is not good for the man to be alone.

But where fellowship is needed, there are not enough fellows

Much too many mouths to speak yet few fathom

For mankind is more man than kind

Hypocrite was I, listening little and protruding plenty--

Children crave companionship but hold no hesitation to withhold !

I aimed for humanity and man, I missed

Selfishly I searched, seeking a single solution for myself

Until I untied the rope of realization

To write was right and to speak came bleak

A poet's partiality to the pen and its paper wins the world

But makes man no more than they were before

Poetry taught me that taking is less so if it is making

A silent scream stuck to pages

Than loose, loud lipsmack that all who listen rages

This poem is about:
Our world
