It's Alright
We wish to be content,
We're wishing for an easy day.
Hoping that these sad thoughts,
Do not have much longer to stay.
We're being told "Chin up,
There's no real use in feeling sad,
If you're happy you're alright,
If not then its kinda your bad."
You failed a test at school,
You broke up with your better half.
You arrived late for work,
And were fired with a cruel laugh.
Your pet died in the night,
Never again sleep on your bed.
You bid your mate farewell,
Ponder if you were also dead.
You wonder what's wrong here,
Is it you or the world that's gray.
It's my fault I feel bad,
Tired down by every small day?
Well it's not, nothing's wrong with being sad,
Everyday's a struggle, an uphill tread.
But we face it bravely, against all odds,
You're not happy right now, and that's alright.
