It's better to love
It's better to love me, then to judge me
Love me, because God loves you
And if he didn't you wouldn't be here
Now tell me isn't that true
My mom died when I was eleven
Now she's in heaven
And my dad's a stranger
So your harsh words don't ease my anger
So never judge a book by it's cover
Look inside me and you'll discover
Thr real me, the me with confidence and integrity
Cause I can't be summarized by the summary at the back of the book
Things aren't always how they look
Nor can I be defined
So don't waist your time
And I know it's such a cliche'
But it's true
And you'll know too once you find the real you
Behind that pretend smile
Your so indinile, but I guess that's your style
So let me cool off before I blow up
You think you know me, but you don't know enough
To hate would be a disgrace
Because you too have sinned
So instead of judging lend a hand
I recommend
Because you too have sinned
Before you cast me in the lions den
Because nobody's perfect
Or maybe you are
Maybe you have the proof of the scars
When they hung you high, stretched you wide, and pierced in the side
Maybe that was you
Maybe I'm confused
Maybe thar was you, who talked me off that ledge
Not the ledge of a building, but the ledge of destruction
No it was God, who came in and started reconstructin
But if judging's your desire, your desire will expire
Once you feel the wrath of the fire
And oh yes, sinners will be running In that great old day
But it's not much I want to say
Because it's in revelations
Read for yourself and you'll find your destination
So never judge a book by it's cover
Look inside me and you'll discover
That it's better to love me, then to judge me
