It's Different Down Here
Look at you.
Did you forget you were a student once too?
High and mighty up on that pedastal,
Frowning down, so judgemental.
Your ego: exponential, you think you're so great.
It's different down here,
Don't pretend to relate.
You need a reality check.
Why don't you go sit in the back?
That personality so fake and see-through,
Try and fit into this desk, I dare you.
Why can't you ever teach me what I need to know?
How to pick myself up when life knocks me down,
No one cares about the train wreck of a personal life you show!
Teach me to look beyond reality,
Tell me to explore!
Why do you only ask for definite answers?
Teach me to push further, dig deeper, want more!
Not to mention hypocrisy!
No cell phones in class?
Sorry kids it's my boyfriend, just let me take this call real fast.
And what in the world are taxes?
I'm not prepared for this!
You didn't teach me success and failure,
But instead; linear analysis.
So giver of homework and final exams,
Turns out you practice what they preach:
"Those who can't do, teach!"
