It's Hard Being the Oldest

It’s hard being the oldest Though everything’s brand new. No hand-me-downs or chewed up toys Your parents pass down to you. It’s hard being the oldest On you, mistakes are made. Your parents are learning everything Into experience you must wade. It’s hard being the oldest When a new sibling comes along. You have to be the example And try to do no wrong. It’s hard being the oldest And knowing you’re the lead. But there’s nothing quite like knowing You’ll be everything they need.
