It's Hard to Believe

Myself

My choices

and Who I’ve become

“The world is your oyster”

“Be whatever you wanna be”

Eyes wide, face full, mind pure

It’s hard to believe

Eyes cried, face fried, mind blurred

That this is where I’ve ended up.

So much promise, so many dreams,

It’s hard to believe

So many mistakes, so much damage,

My future’s come to this

It’s fine, It’ll be okay

It’s easy to think

You’re screwed, You’re done

It’s reality to bring.

Life’s not a joke

Life’s not a game

College = Life

And I wish I had known that

myself…

my choices..

and who I’ve become…

Myself would've changed

my choices

So that who I’ve become could've

“Be(en) whatever (I) wan(ted) (to) be”

and maybe then

“The world (would’ve) (been) (my) oyster”
