It's his loss
"It's his loss"
No dad
It's mine
He was sweet and kind
But when we were together
It was like I was blind
Like I didn't see his mind
Like all i could see was me and mine
Like I didn't have time
To be the girlfriend he could find
When he was looking for a one of a kind
I was looking for someone to blow my time
I was smitten
When we broke up I couldn't see the words I'd written
Through my tears I found what I was forgetting
He was the one
Now I'm lost
Lost myself at higher a cost
I was independent, free
Now I can't imagine growing to who I am without him next to me
And it's all okay
I understand the price I have to pay
But I've said all I can say
And he still hasn't looked my way
So what can I do
Time goes on
So I'll just coast
And finish this song
The balls in his court
And I'm here in mine
