It's Inside of Me

There's plenty of things and people willing to tear you down

because they think it builds them up

Sometimes we start tearing ourselves down

and start to believe all the dump

"That is too difficult"

"This is too much"

"It will never get better"

"You are not worth it"

"Give up"

There's a word for the fight inside of me

A word so common, yet so forgotten

For some, they have lost it along the way

Or even feared it

So what is the word you ask?

Courage.

Courage to never fear failure,

To say what you mean,

To speak what is right,

To be afraid, but to go for it anyway

That's what's inside of me-

Courage.

I fall sometimes

I cry sometimes

But it's about getting up

Believing what's next is better
