It's like it all ended yesterday

Do you remember? It was just the two of us You and I against the world We could take it over; without any trouble But we didn't care for it Instead we were stuck in our own A world of hope The smell of young love was everywhere Day by day and Night by night I have thought of no other You stood by my side You stood there until I pushed you away Now all I have to say is I'm sorry So deeply sorry As much as you hate those words I have no other way of saying it stop, stop Is all I hear fro your wicked tongue As I step away; I see your hand in another Every time I close my eyes and see her face My heart drops the urge to grab a knife comes closer and closer While she's there; alone with you I'm stuck here Writing this stupid poem for you I hope one day we'll be together again But until then; wish me the best of luck I remember the kisses and hugs But I also remember the yelling and screaming Of course I don't expect you to listen As a matter of fact I don't expect you to look at me Why? Because I could no longer handle the loneliness All this hurt and regret will not go away I can't say you tried because you didn't I know I did But I still never seemed to get your attention Just please don't forget me....
