It's Just Me
I tend to wonder what it means to have all these emotions swarming inside my mind.
I tend to ask my self if others feel this way too?
I tend to question everything I feel.
I tend to wonder…
Is it just me?
I am overwhelmed with anxiety,
My mind is overflowing with unrealistic doubts.
My palms are sweaty,
my heart is pounding outside of my chest
my senses are on edge
and then i ask…
Why me?
I am enraged with anger,
Anything or anyone that approaches me experiences my displeasure.
I pass it on with my very touch.
My eyes burn red with aggression.
I scowl at the sight of joy
And focus on only the negatives that seem to appear.
and then i ask
Why me?
I am drowning in sorrow.
I search for fresh air but all i find is myself gasping for every last breath
Drops of emotion filled tears trickle down my checks.
I want to hide.
I want to ignore everything else in the world.
I want to be alone.
And I would give anything to just escape this unbearable feeling.
and then i ask…
Why me?
I am overjoyed.
Happiness fills my entire body.
A smile is drawn across my face and refuses to be erased.
fireworks explode in my mind
and my joy is a chain reaction
and then i ask…
Why me?
I look around,
and see
Some with grins
Some with angered eyes.
Some have smiles from ear to ear
While others are clenching their fists with fear.
I see the sadness written on their faces.
and then i realize
could it be…
That It's not just me.
