It's a Life

I was born in Laredo

Raised in San Antonio

Originally from the street

But I walked away without skipping a beat

I know people that sell pills, coke, and weed

But these are things that I don’t need

I went to school

So I don’t become a fool

My friends were used as mules

They were nothing but tools

My life was a tragedy

So don’t feel sorry for me

I was poor

You wouldn’t see it but it’s buried at the core

From eating on the floor or on a box

Now look I’m as clever as a fox

I always got into trouble

At one point my life was going to crumble

I broke down into depression

Every event I went into recession

A couple times I tried killing myself

From jumping off a roof to jumping in front of a car

Yea I guess I went too far

But that’s my life and I’m glad I’m not dead in some bar
