It's a Long Story
I'm like any other, at a first glance
But I've got a mission
Not many give me the chance
But would you care to listen?
I love history
It's almost an obsession
But it's no mystery
It's my passion
Andrew Jackson was crazy
Abe Lincoln is my fave
Calvin Coolidge was lazy
Both Roosevelts could use a shave
But to my family, it's useless
I'm told to be someone else
Their words give me bruises
Pain's the only thing left
I've tried to convince
The results were deafening
It's hard to talk since
No one's listening
I'm like any other, at a first glance
But I've got a mission
Not many give me the chance
