It's a long ways down

Standing alone,

as a silent observer.

Ever vigilant as

the clouds rip across the peak.

As a sheet being torn by a broken spouse, soiled by what could have been.

Baptized and then reborn in what has been.

For hell hath no fury.

And an empty bed holds no comfort.
