It's Me You See
Being a dork is a lot of work
I mean it’s not a bad thing
But sometimes I feel I lack a bit of zing
I can be silly and serious
Dramatic and dumb
But still me, you see
Still a dork
But that’s ok
Cause its who I am
High anxiety, high strung
Will cry until my face is numb
But that’s me, you see
A modern day Nick Caraway
Honest to the core
Telling the truth till I’m sore
Alas, that’s me you see
Work myself up
to let myself down
How intelligent I must sound?
Aspirations of a broadcasting career
One single tear
I’m an emotional guy who gives his all
And would hate to see everything just fall
Dreams crashing
Cars smashing
The end of one great nation
Wait its all in my head
My imagination
My greatest asset and greatest weakness
Limiting and compelling
All of this I am telling
Is just me, you see
A dork
A dork with a passion
A passion to speak
To write
To read
To love
To be heard
That’s why
I sigh
Sit down
And type
I just let my ideas flow
So I can let my true self show
A rhyming array of words
But you can be assured
That its all about me, you see
