It's Midnight

It's midnight and I'm laying in bed

thinking about how much

you've helped me

how much

you've hurt me

without meaning any of it

and I'm thinking of how

I love you

so much

and wondering

if you still feel the same

It's midnight

and I don't want to bother you

but I can't hold it in anymore

I try

so hard

yet nothing ever changes

if you don't want me just say

I'd rather have a painful truth

than a blissful lie

because at least I know

my pain is real

It's midnight

and I'm laying in bed

hoping I'm wrong

about you

and if you would be so kind

as to give me the truth

then maybe

just maybe

I'll believe you
