It’s a new year Time to not shed a tear It is time for a change And don’t act like its strange Over a year I have let you control me I think its that time you just let me be Yes we stopped dating And we were never mating But yet you try to keep these strings attach And I realized that its up to me to detach If I really meant something to you You would’ve been quick to call me your boo You said you couldn’t because you have someone But its funny cuz you had me way before hun You claim you want to be my friend But you don’t act like you're tryna be there til the end You always seem to have some problem with me So us being friends is no point I see Its that time that I am strong again And surround myself with real men In pieces you shredded my heart I let you cuz I wasn’t so smart But you grow and you learn And for that I will never burn You asked where did this new person come from You created her and made her numb Its time I stand up and its today Cuz I cant wait for you to lead the way You are just selfish Wanting to have a side dish That just makes me sick Cuz you already have a chick special is what it seems you are but you just pushed yourself way too far there is nothing special about you other than you want your cake and eat it too I stood up for myself and told you what was on my mind You make it seem like its in my head but your just blind a boyfriend is what you’re supposed to be but a boy is still all I see you say you dont play any games but everything you say is all claims you might think they are right but that’s only in your sight I had to make you see my side And now that im right you can go hide Im done being on some hook There’s so much pass you and im willing to go look Its about time I open your eyes to this world It might seem as simple as a circle but really its swirled You simply wasted my time Im glad I didn’t spend a dime Now that everything is off my chest I feel different more like the best All you did was put a mess in my life For that I hope you make her your wife Each other is truly what you guys deserve Because you guys got some nerve You guys do the same dirt And love to secretly bring hurt You are nothing but conniving And all im doing is striving I told you everything that built up about how I felt You looked so shocked like you were gona melt Your only response was that you got to go You didn’t really care for me is what you show Its all good though because Im a new me And Im going for my goals and you will see.
