It's okay to feel

She was like the sun; a smile radiating and lighting others lives with optimism and friendship. The sun is a beautiful blessing, but getting to close is damaging and painful. It is impossible to completely cool the heat given off by the sun. It is much simpler to distance oneself from it. The comfort and warmth brought during the day is taken for granted and twelve hours later, forgotten when darkness takes over. She was like the sun; replaced with a brisk air that pinched her nose and fingertips as she gazed at the stars wondering how she managed to get swallowed by the mess we call the world.
