It's Okay Not to Be Okay

The tears fall from you're eyes and they are about to drown you.

Don't you know that I am always here?

It is okay to admit that you are about to fall apart.

It is okay to admit that you can't find your purpose.

It is okay to admit that all of your dreams have been broken.

We all face those times when we are overcome with sadness,

We want to run away into the blackness.

And pray that no one can see the monster we've become,

We hate that thing in the mirror and all of the things we've done.

You don't have to lie,

You don't have to die,

I don't want you to say goodbye.

Just tell me that you're not okay,

It's okay to not be okay.

It feels like you have become everything that you use to despise,

Don't you know that people can change?

It is okay to admit that the world is harsh.

It is okay to admit that you don't belong.

It is okay to admit that your pages are running out.

We all get to the point where we doubt that we can ever return,

We all go through times when our fires leave us burned.

And we don't think that any of this could possibly be worth it,

But we need to believe that nothing will ever be perfect.

You don't have to quit,

You don't have fall into the pit,

It is never too late to admit.

Just tell me that you're not okay,

It's okay to not be okay.

No one is always okay.
