It's the Only Way

It’s the only way I know I’m not artistic although that’s what they say. I try to draw my dreams but people get in the way. They see, they judge, they disapprove. This is the only way. I know I’m not musical although that’s what they say. There’s always someone better no matter how long I play. So I am overlooked, wishing but ignored. This is the only way. I know I’m not academic although that’s what they say. History is just so boring perhaps if we learned of fae? But as an average student: This is the only way. I know I’m not athletic although that’s what they say. I’m not slow but I’m not fast; In dancing I only sway. I much prefer to read a book. This is the only way I just can’t seem to talk; my speech leads astray. I mix and match and jumble up all I want to say. But when I write, I get it right. This is the only way It’s the only way

I really like this poem and I really relate to it. It's original and I like the use of repetition. Keep it up!
