It's Only You.

Every morning I wake up fearing it.

Why does it exist?

Why must I be condemned to face it

every day?

They say reality hurts, but this is hell.

It knows things, that no one else knows.

It knows my flaws,

my sins, my weaknesses.

It knows everything.

No, I’m not talking about God, even he knows who I fear.

At any time, it could go against me

at any given moment of any given day.

It has power over me, good and bad.

It tries to do good,

but it does bad too.

The things it could do should scare people,

but they fail to see it.

Thoughts, these are the thoughts that I have,

every single day looking at it.

But you kn-

“Sweetie stop looking at yourself through the mirror, go to school!”

Reality hits, it hides itself for this part of the day.

It stays there until I look at it again

because society can’t accept it for it.
