It's sad

Its sad

When you don't recognize

Your own mother.

Its sad

That she threw you away

And now wants you back

Its sad

That she took a new shape

And she no longer looks familiar

Its sad

When she turns against her family

Pushing them all away

And acts like it’s okay.

It’s sad

How she thinks

She can walk right back

Into your life

Its sad

That she now has the hope

You gave up years ago.

Its sad

How the tables have turned

From loving an hoping

To hatred and regret

Its sad

That she lost her daughter

She gave up 15 years ago

Its sad

You will never let her

Be a part of your  life.
