It's On The System

What I can't say is all in my eyes, the emotions of a student who's seeing others left behind. We're all different learners, we don't all appear bright, but if someone took the time, maybe he would learn right. The brother I tutor, the boy I see struggle, maybe he wouldn't cry when he's all in a muddle. But it's not your fault, yes, that's the catch, it's actually the system that we need to patch. I know I can't blame you for a system that's dated; shouldn't people know standardized tests are overrated? Now I can see that we have to work with you because handling a class is so much for one to do. We'll be better students and do as we're told. We'll question, we'll ponder, we'll be ambitious and bold. We'll demand a better system, and not standard ranks, and more consideration for what kids have and what they lack. We'll fight for our education, and your rights too, because the work of a teacher is not easy to do. All those long hours with kids who think you're a jerk constantly awes me about why you still do this work. So here are my words, and I know they won't suffice, but I'll say them regardless, because I feel that it's right; thanks for your effort, even though the system is wack, because your determination makes up for what the system lacks.
