It's Those Little Things
I will do what's right,
Make things okay if e're there was a fight.
See, I will hold you,
I know you would hold me, too,
That's the thing to do
When you're in this state of having no clue
As to what to do.
I will do what's right,
If money is tight,
I will work two jobs,
But not if my heart throbs
Against my chest to where I cannot breathe.
I will do what's right,
When it's dark and light,
It's day and night with you, love,
And I will do as you do,
Work and play through and through,
It isn't hard to make things work,
It's how I know it's right, like artwork.
If the strokes are too thick, too tough to make beautiful,
I'd know the painting was much harder than usual.
That's how I know we are okay,
It doesn't take a poem to say,
But I'm writing this anyway,
Because it's the least I could do to show,
It's the least I could do to let you know,
That I do what's right, let things take flight.
I enjoy all that we do, not a moment to rue,
And I say that honestly, absolutely flawlessly,
Because I love you.
