It's Time...

It’s something I have been thinking about,

This began probably several days before,

But there's something that I want to share-out,

You had my heart and soul, not anymore,

Accept it, this shouldn’t take you by surprise,

Here in this restaurant I want to say,

I am living in a life filled with lies,

I insist we need to go different ways,

I never meant to cause you any pain,

Perhaps the problem is me and not you,

I didn’t want to split your heart in twain,

I want to divorce, this was overdue.

But it’s okay, we both know you wanted this too,

You can follow your dream, and travel the world,

It’s a win- win situation, you have nothing to lose,

We had something great, and now is not,

All we have are memories to cherish and love,

Now as we take our own journey, keep in mind,

Life is awesome and we can both move on.
