It's Time To Let Go of your past and prepare for the future.
We hold on to past problems, past relationships, past friendships,
You want to rewrite the past, but it would be a wasted trip.
We hold on to situations that happened a day or week before,
Sometimes it's best to turn the other cheek because who's keeping score?
We hold to past relationships like its a jewel,
Then we find out the issues behind it or that person moved on,
Now we look like a fool.
It's not worth being in jail or being buried under dirt,
Just because your soul, mind, and heart hurt.
As Joe Nester and Bryann Trejo mentioned in song,
Let It Go, the night is still young.
People keep grudges, pretty much dead weight,
Why wait so long with bottled up hate?
Live your life and let the past go,
You'll be surprised to see how much your light
Will shine your path, after you grow.

Like a little bit of humor.
