It's That Time of the Year

It's that time of the year,

That students all fear.

The beginning of school,

Which is so not cool.

A series of moans and groans,

As students' faces pale with shades and tones.

Summer break flies,

The stores are now stacked with supplies.

No more sleeping in late,

Students realize in hate.

Seven hours a day,

The dread, no need to say.

Five days a week,

And the kids start showing some cheek.

Nine months of work,

As students sink into murk.

Going to school is such a bummer,

And all kids look forward to is summer.
