It's The Word "Because" That Throws You Off
Society isn’t like the movies anymore
We don’t see the guy miss his once in a lifetime opportunity to chase the love of his life getting on the plane flying thousands of miles away
We don’t see the running through the airport scene with the random support of the airport staff yelling “go get em child”
We don’t see the moment he finally gets to her about to walk on that plane, she turns around and says “Why? Why did you travel all this way"
And all he says is I did it Because I Love You
We just don’t get that anymore, but to be honest it's not like we ever did
In the real world we get
Women who are ending up with men who hit and yell because they wear a skirt that god forbid shows too much skin
And the only explanation behind the abuse is I hurt you Because I Love You
It doesn't just stop there
Boys coming out of the closet to hateful moms and dads. They say “this isn’t the real you, you’re not really gay” and then mom says “It’s just a phase, I'm telling you the truth Because I Love You”
If someone did something to you because they “really" loved you they shouldn’t have to explain why they did it out of love
“Because I Love You” should mean exactly how it sounds, how it’s pronounced and how it’s spelled
It’s just the word “because" that throws it off
Yet you should be with someone “because” you love them and everything about them
Telling them constantly that they are the king or queen of your universe
Making them believe in the beauty you already see inside and out
Now that is a h.e.a.l.t.h.y relationship
So as a ending message to all the people in society who still don’t have a person to say “Because I love you” to
I love you so much
