Its You and Only Your Ways

Its the simple text that you send me on a daily.

"Did you eat today?" "How was your day?" "How are you feeling?" "Did you do that one assignment you been stressing about?"

Its the way that you hug me so tight that I feel all the comfort and safety that I've missed.

Its the surprise Facetime calls when I tell you I'm upset or when you just miss my voice & face.

Its the simple things you do that makes me want to love you over and over again.

The rapid thumping of my heart when ever we catch eyes across the room.

The burning heat I feel rush to my cheeks whenever you hold my hand.

Its the sound of your voice when you tell me, " I care about you."

Whenever you say that you've had nights where you prayed for a woman like me.

Its the reassurance that I am worth something and that I am beautiful regardless of how I think I feel.

Its the honesty you give when I ask you questions.

Its the joy that you bring into my life.

Its the maturity you show when I need time to be alone.

Its the stubborness when I tell you its time the go.

Its you and only your ways that make me feel like you'll never go astray.
