The thought of change scares most people

I know for a fact it terrified me

waking up everyday, same routine

A new poppable pimple

It could be something that simple

A constant change, a change in features

Or a hardcore change, a change in creatures

The crature in this story is my dad

That man I should call child since he never matured enough to realize leaving two young children old enough to remember was wrong

Yet this was not a dead beat dad it was a person that held onto the fact his kids were vulnerable and barely stuck around

Stuck around just enough for no relationship to be formed

but for there to still be credit that he never fully left and still “tried”

This isnt a unique brand new experience only I have gone through

so many have experienced this change

Growing up I didnt want this to be a step back in my life

yet it was at first

Two steps forward

Stronger

soon after three steps back

Weaker

I recently realize i dont need anyone to feel strong

I had a mother to teach me right and wrong

This change left a hole in me that i soon filled with education and MY happiness being my top priority

while the struggle isnt over this set back brought me to step up and I am so grateful
