IT’S BEEN AWHILE

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here I haven’t written in a year I came back to reconcile and recompile These feelings I’ve hiked with for miles I feel empty inside, I have nothing to hide I don’t feel happy or sad anymore, my life is just a bore My demons have come and gone, but I know what’s going on If I don’t fight back, my world will turn black But who knows I might like that, what’s life like when it’s like that? I came back so I could write to fight back But I don’t know if I want to carry on I wonder what life’s like when we’re gone Is death really the end? I wish I wasn’t surrounded by friends I wonder how long they would miss me for Why does life feel like a chore?
