It’s a Difference

If you call a man a boy, that’s what you will get.                                                                                                                                                             They will never make love to your spirit.

They may kiss your lips but men kiss your soul.
They open your legs but Men desire to unfold.

To unfold your purpose.  Men help you be free.
Boys do not use their minds to think

But they use their brain between their legs.
& men use the brain that lies in their heads.

Boys will bring damnation to your soul.
Boys will allow things to get out of control.

Boys know youre a trophy so they shine you in public
But behind closed doors they don’t keep you polished.

Boys treat you like an object & a statistic.
Boys ignore your greatness and place on you limits.

Boys love that you give benefits like a good friend.
But that’s what you get when you call man you’re  boyfriend.

Im a man, so trust me there is a difference.
I know of many women that wish they never did it.

I tell my woman to not call boyfriend.
In return, she’s called my woman friend.

Poetry is therapeutic to me. Over the years I have found a way to include it in anything and I love it. It helps me to keep my mind off of the things that I go through. Especially now.
