It’s my life

I’m trying to grow

I’m trying to prosper

But I can’t do so with you in the back of

My mind.

I’m trying to grow

I’m trying to prosper

But I can’t do so with you trying to

Tie me to a tree like a dog.

You love me to death

I ran away.

You say you love me to death

I feel like running away.

You never pressured me

I feel like I pressured you.

You’re always pressuring me, say you

Can’t help it

I feel like I have to, even though I kind of

Want to.

I wish you didn’t worry so much and had more

Fun.

I wish you worried a tad bit more and had

The same amount of fun, maybe less.

I say to both of you, I can’t see the future,

People change.

Let me worry about here and now, and deal

With THAT when it happens.

I feel knotted in the memories we shared.

I may need a new brain.

The wish is to feel sane without the memory of you.

No strait jacket please.

Interference is the plan

Trying to forget is the unpleasant game.
