IV

Love is odd, of this fact I’m well aware,

Things don’t always work out as they are planned,

But they go on, with their usual flair,

Until something happens that is so rare,

Something that can make your life become grand.

Whate’er you’ve been told about love is wrong,

It can happen between any person,

Love is like a melody to a song,

It captures you and you’re thrown in headlong,

It’s testing and learning all your lessons.

You’re still always in the back of my mind,

I will always remember your sweet voice,

And maybe this love was meant to be blind,

But if you choose me, I’ll always rejoice.
