ive been waiting for you

ive been waiting for you to say something                                                                             Lost

The sky turned grey the minute you left.

With all that’s left, memories no one can replace.

All the joy, the laughter, and smiles disappeared when you said goodbye.

Within months I had time to enjoy, time to have fun, time with you.

The birds are singing a song so recognizable. Family and friends gather around to see you one last time.

               Nothing has changed.

The sky will stay grey, the earth will shed its tears, and the birds will keep singing.

Emptiness, weakness, battle cry, questions still linger.

Till the day I forget is when the sky was blue, the earth stopped shedding tears, and the birds sang a happy tune.
