I've Changed
Maybe it was time,
Maybe it was the games,
Or maybe it was interests,
Maybe even persistence.
Whatever it was I've changed,
and maybe for the good,
or for the bad,
but for certain I've changed.
Why did I change?
I didn't want change,
yet change is known as beautiful thing.
Some see it as a transition from old to new,
from worse to better,
as if time heals wounds
and change is its side effect.
All I see change is the black rose of humanity.
Yes things change,
but not always for the better.
My change was not for the best,
and yet in ways not the worst.
My perspective changed,
my determination changed,
my perspective on school,
family,
friends,
all changed.
Yet why isn't this change beneficial?
Isn't change a wonderous rose?
Who's to blame?
Change itself?
Maybe the way I changed had changed.
The only change that should happen,
is change.
